Claim Procedure

Step 1: Prepare the information or documents

 

Basic information

  • Policy number
    • An 10/11-digit alphanumeric combination that you may find in your policy
  • Repair/replacement quotation/receipt for loss/damage item(s)

Supplementary information

  • Repair quotation and receipt for the damaged
  • Purchase receipt for insured property
  • Photographs showing the extent of damage
  • Guarantee/warranty cards
  • Police report and statement
  • Property management incident report

 

Step 2: Complete the online claim form

 

  • Your contact details
  • Claimant details
  • Select the claim type and fill in the relevant information
  • Your bank account details
  • Upload supporting documents

 

Step 3: Submit

 

Upon completion, you will be assigned a tracking number. We will contact you shortly afterwards. You will also receive an email notification from us.

 

Step 4: Direct bank-in to your bank account

 

We will direct bank-in to your bank account once the submitted claim form has been approved.

What should I do immediately if these accidents happen?

Flood/water damage

  1. Find the source of water and stop it immediately.
  2. Move property away from water to minimise damage.
  3. Take photos of the scene and the affected items.
  4. Report the incident to the property management office.

Fire

  1. Evacuate from the building immediately. Do not take the lift.
  2. Dial 999.

Burglary

  1. If the burglar is still in your house, avoid a confrontation. Find a safe hideout before you dial 999.
  2. Report all lost items to the police immediately.
  3. Call locksmiths for lock replacement.

Accidental damage

  1. Do not throw away the damaged item or try to repair it.
  2. Take photos of the damaged item, clearly showing the damaged part(s).
  3. If possible, provide the purchase receipt of the damaged item.
Dos & don’ts

DOs

  • Call our Claims Services Hotline at +852 2894 0660 for advice.
  • Report the loss/damage to the insurers if you have another policy covering the same loss.
  • Obtain at least 2 quotations should repair or replacement work be required.
  • Complete and submit the claim form to us within 30 days from the date of accident.

DON’Ts

  • Discard, remove or commence any repair works on the destroyed or damaged property before reporting the case to us.

  1. If you have other documents which are not listed but may support your claim application, please also submit them as it may facilitate our processing.
  2. If insufficient space is provided for your answers, please continue on a separate sheet.
