When running errands or picking up children, they may face personal liability for accidents, such as accidentally injuring a pedestrian or damaging property in a shop with a trolley. Furthermore, “Fidelity Cover” protects against issues of integrity, such as the theft of cash or valuables. In extreme cases, it even covers situations where a helper, perhaps dissatisfied with their working arrangements, intends to cause harm to family members. If such an event occurs, the matter should be reported to the police and a claim filed. These policies even cover practical costs like replacing door locks and gate cylinders to ensure the family’s security.

Before selecting a plan, it is essential to compare the scope of cover with specific exclusions and the length of any “waiting periods”, and to ensure the compensation limits meet your financial needs. It is also wise to tailor the plan to your helper’s age and health status. Always make sure that health declarations are made honestly at the time of application. Doing so is the best way to ensure that any future claims are processed smoothly and without delay.
