MSIG x Food Waste Jewelry Workshop 2025

On 10 Mar 2025, we partnered with social enterprise, Ways Out Hong Kong, to organise an "Food Waste Jewelry Workshop", with enthusiastic participation from 31 colleagues.

The workshop provided participants with in-depth insights into Hong Kong's food waste issues, while offering hands-on experience in transforming food waste into fashionable accessories. Colleagues creatively crafted unique jewelry pieces using eco-friendly beads made from upcycled materials like fruit pits and coffee grounds.

The session emphasised sustainable practices through the use of fully reusable tools and equipment, an exclusive selection of biodegradable materials, and the complete avoidance of single-use plastics.

Beyond environmental education, Ways Out Hong Kong demonstrates strong social commitment by providing vocational training opportunities for underprivileged young mothers, supporting both sustainability and social inclusion.

We will continue to develop meaningful sustainability initiatives that engage our employees and benefit the wider community.
