MSIG x Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden Tour 2023

In partnership with the Conservation International Asia-Pacific (CIAP), we organised the second-round green tour at its local green partner, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) last Saturday (18 February).

A team of 17 MSIG colleagues, their family members and friends came together to embrace our long-standing commitment to protecting biodiversity, We started with a mulching making session in composting 3 different materials, including biochar, wood chip and dried leaves, in the ratio of 1:5:5 to mulch the nursery tree planting site, after removing weeds around the trees.              

Prior to finishing up the tour, all participants were given a hands-on workshop on fern making with some green knowledge of the fern life cycle and the importance of the fern spore to our planet.

We all have a great time at KFBG. The experience was amazing, enabling us a chance to expand our green knowledge of ecological products and practices, and contribute to the ecosystem and sustainable development.
