Senior Manager, Financial Lines
Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage the Financial Lines portfolio to achieve sustainable and profitable growth in accordance with company underwriting guidelines and delegated authorities
- Assess, price and negotiate complex new and renewal business across a range of Financial Lines products
- Provide senior-level underwriting input, technical review and portfolio guidance for complex risks and accounts
- Drive growth in specialty Financial Lines classes, including Quasi Medical Malpractice, SPPI, Financial Institutions, Investment Management Insurance, Crime and other Financial Lines products where appropriate
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with agency partners, local brokers and key business partners to expand distribution opportunities and support long-term business growth
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to the achievement of growth, profitability and retention targets
- Support underwriting excellence through technical guidance, coaching and training for internal stakeholders.
- Support underwriting and operational efficiency initiatives through system and process enhancements

Requirements
- Higher Diploma or above in Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines
- ACII or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- More than 10 years' insurance or reinsurance industry experience with substantial Financial Lines underwriting exposure
- Strong technical underwriting expertise in Financial Lines products, particularly FI, IMI, Crime, SPPI, PI and other specialty liability classes.
- Proven ability to manage complex risks and exercise sound underwriting judgment
- Strong broker and business partner relationship management skills, particularly within the Hong Kong market
- Business-driven with strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin would be an advantage
