Manager, Claims (Commercial Property)
Responsibilities
- Ensure claims procedures, documentation, and reserving practices comply with Group requirements and authority limits
- Oversee claims handling to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, policy terms, and documentation standards, and escalate irregularities where necessary
- Report adverse claim cases and prepare Internal Large Loss Advice in accordance with Company requirements
- Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual claims reports, including claims development analysis and statistics
- Review outstanding claims and escalate any significant developments
- Participate in audits and prepare findings with recommendations to improve performance and compliance
- Monitor subrogation, salvage, reinsurance recoveries, and legal actions to maximize claim recoveries
- Support team development through training, performance evaluation, and oversight of adjusters and surveyors, while establishing service standards and implementing performance measurement systems
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Law, or related disciplines
- Professional insurance qualifications (e.g. ANZIIF, ACII or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in general insurance claims, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Solid general insurance knowledge, particularly in Property, Miscellaneous Accident, and Engineering lines
- Strong leadership with effective team management and development abilities
- Customer-oriented with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive, innovative mindset
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
- Proficient in both spoken English and Chinese
