More MSIG branches in China
Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (China) Company Limited (“MSI China”), a subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. (“MSIG”) has had its application to set up its second branch in China approved, and targets to start operations this Autumn.
MSI China first obtained approval from the China Insurance Regulatory Commission to establish its head office in Shanghai in July 2007, followed by the opening of our Guangzhou branch in September 2008. We are now working on all necessary preparations to turn our representative office in Beijing into a branch. This new branch will be the first insurance company in Beijing to be backed by Japanese investment.
Our Shanghai head office, Guangzhou branch and Beijing branch will servethe three major regional centres of East, South and North China. We aim to set up more branches in other cities in China, including Suzhou, Tianjin, Dalian, Qingdao, Hangzhou and Chengdu, where we currently have representative offices. Our plan for the future is to continue expanding our sales network throughout china at the same time as improving the quality of our service. |
